A bit dated， but cute。 My kids enjoyed listening to it while we took a car trip。 I recommend pulling it up to entertain kids from ages 5 to 12。

I picked up this book to encourage my sister who has to read it for a class。 Yesterday we decided to start reading together， and I ended up finishing the book this morning while she is still in chapter 1 🤣。 This book totally got me out my reading slump。 Highly recommended if you like children stories with unusual characters。 It reminded me of Daddy Long Legs because both main characters are red-haired girls with no living parents， lots of energy， and tons of imagination。

I love this story。 Pippi longstocking lived in a house which her father had bought to live with her。 She makes new friends。 It is funny and interesting story how a girl manages to live without parents 。 the story shows how much parents are necessary for a child 。 I love the story as it taught me so much 。

Read with 6。5 and nearly 4 year old kiddos。 Everyone enjoyed it。 We’ve been big fans of the movies/shows over the past year so were looking forward to reading the original; lots of the same scenes from the book made it into the movie/show。 Pippi is a true original， independent and quirky。 And everyone loved Mr。 Nilsson and Old Man the horse。
